1. Product Overview
SW-6220013 is passive FBG fiber Bragg grating temperature sensing element, integrated into complete assembly 3BHL001089P0001 for direct surface mounting on ABB StakPak water-cooled thyristor and IGCT power stacks.
All-dielectric fiber structure provides full galvanic isolation up to 10kV, eliminating risk of high-voltage backfeed into low-voltage control system, and immune to strong electromagnetic interference inside excitation and medium voltage converter cabinets. No auxiliary power supply required at sensor side, only fiber signal demodulation via main control board XVC772A102.
Real-time junction temperature data enables two-stage thermal protection logic: pre-warning alarm and full over-temperature trip. When over-temperature threshold is exceeded, main controller sends interlock signal to UFC911B104 GDU to instantly block all optical trigger pulses and execute unit de-excitation or drive shutdown.
Fully compatible with all 4500V StakPak power devices, standard mounting base fits series 3BHL000986Pxx water cooling frames. ABB ceased new original production, pre-assembled sensor assemblies are standard spare parts for power plant and drive maintenance retrofit.
